In the spirit of this year’s Chicago Hip-Hop Heritage Month theme, ‘All Headz On Deck-The Time Is Now’, Chi Hip-Hop Initiative hopes you will help us further our mission to support and empower our youth by donating at least one hour of your time as a volunteer in with one of our Chicago Hip-Hop Youth Initiative programs during the month of July.
We will host a series of weekly public programs and workshops during the month of July that will enhance our youth’s understanding and appreciation for hip-hop culture, art, and aesthetic, give them true insight into careers in hip-hop with on-on-one access to industry professionals, as well as information on how hip-hop can be used as a tool for community activism, social justice, and progressive change.
We need volunteers from different backgrounds, and wide ranges of expertise.We also need individuals who can assist with fundraising, programming, and outreach.
